Over two Saturdays in April, 12 DCC members attended a one day first aid training course held at Humphrey Head Out door Centre. This was mainly funded by The Outdoor Partnership with the remainder being paid by club members. Thanks go to Sam the lady who led the course.

Carol got to the club first and found the docks were overflowing with water so much so that it crept up on to normally dry land. Her granddaughter made the most of it by having fun jumping in the enormous puddles. Getting on to the water that evening was so easy. Members split up in to groups with paddleboard instructor trainee Marley Elliot leading one group up to the bulls nose for fun and games.
On the 15th April John and Alistair circumnavigated Wast Water in fast sit and switch solo canoes. Take a look at the horizontal wall half way up the scree,or is it?? Great pictures of the day by John
For several members of DCC Easter Monday was spent improving their white water skills on the Crake starting from Spark Bridge and finishing off over the weir at Greenodd. Look out for more courses being run by DCC coach Andy. Great photos of the day by Sue and Gaynor.
With Covid restrictions starting to be lifted and outdoor organised sport now allowed, DCC made the most of a fairly warm evening as members took to the water for an enjoyable paddle at the docks social distancing.
