"A bright crisp morning with mist over the water welcomed 20+ paddlers to DCC annual Brathay wildwater race. Competitors from Yorkshire, Nottingham, Ambleside and Carlisle CC joined a good turn out from Duddon to make a great days racing. Water level had fallen almost a metre in 3 days so the occasional rock lurking just below the surface nudged a few paddlers off their prefered line!!
Medals for age groups and GP, WWR K1, WWR C1 , Wavehoppers and OC boats ment most of us went home with something to add to the trophy cabinet and illustrates the great versatility of Wildwater racing.
